Redact sensitive data from a PDF
Painting a black rectangle on top hides nothing: the text is still in the file and can be copied straight out. Here the marked content is deleted from the document, which is what you actually need when personal data is involved.
- Free, no watermarks
- Works offline
- Your file stays on the phone
How it works
- Open NAPDF and tap "Redact".
- Pick the PDF and mark with your finger what has to go.
- Apply: the marked text disappears from the file and a clean copy is saved.
Note: In a scanned PDF, where the page is an image, the redaction covers that area of the image: there is no loose text to delete.
What people use it for
- Hide an account number before sharing a receipt.
- Strip personal data from a document being made public.
- Hand over a contract without third-party amounts.
Mark what you want gone and NAPDF deletes the text inside the file instead of painting a black box over it. Redacted content cannot be copied or searched afterwards.
